Great set of 8 medals spanning both World wars only to be killed in Burma in the fight with the Japanese.
Capt. JH Mackay died in Burma in December 1943 with the Indian engineers having previously served in the WW1 in the R Navy Reserves as an Engineer Sub Lieutenant.
Set of 8 medals , 3 first war medals mounted and with coresponding miniatures also mounted, plus WW2 1939/45 Star,Burma Star,39/45 India war medal,39/45 War Medal ,Defence Medal.
The 1914/18 War and Victory medal are named :
ENG S LT J H Mackay RNR , and the 1937 coronation medal and WW2 medals are unarmed as issued.
